THE TECHNOLOGY of ENZYMES
When you hear the word enzymes, it sounds like some sort of miracle
chemical developed in a lab.
In fact, enzymes are a natural part of our world and play an important
role in everyday life.
They are found in every living organism and life is not possible without enzymes. Enzymes are catalysts – not living organisms.

About Us, and what we aim to achieve
Enzyme Wizard Pty Ltd represents a true supplier of plant based enzymes and enzyme products. As a result, we are able to guarantee the ingredients that go into the products we produce. We are not dependent on any one supplier for any single ingredient. We pass these savings on to our customers. As we bring new products on-line, our customers have the ability to experience additional savings.
It is our corporate value to have the best performing products on the market in each industry. Developing a growing and satisfied customer base is our number one marketing strategy.
In the ultra-competitive cleaning solution marketplace, Enzyme Wizard’s future is seemingly boundless. There is a need for a high quality enzyme solution, and an equal amount of markets in need of our products.
By its very nature, our products can be used to eliminate odours and organic matter, from blood stains, to cleaning carpets and counter tops, removing wallpaper, and even used as a high quality cleaner/degreaser.
What are Enzymes?
Enzymes are proteins, composed of hundred of amino-acids, which are produced by living organisms. They are responsible for a number of reactions and biological activities in plants, animals, human beings and micro-organisms. They are found in the human digestive system to break down carbohydrates (sugars), fats or proteins present in food. The smaller pieces can be absorbed into the blood stream.
Each enzyme is made of a sequence of amino acids (like pearls on a string, picture 1) folded into a unique three-dimensional structure that determines the function of the enzyme.
Even the slightest change in the sequence of the amino acids can alter the shape and function of the enzyme.
Only a small part of the enzyme participates in the catalysis of biochemical reactions: the active site (picture 2).
Enzymes are therefore very specific (e.g. a cellulose can only degrade cellulose).
Enzymes are essential for all metabolic processes, but are not themselves living materials. They are distinguishable from other proteins because they are known as biological catalysts (substances which speed up reactions but which do not get used up themselves).
Types of Enzymes
Proteases act on soils and stains containing proteins. Examples are collar & cuff soil-lines, grass, blood. Proteases are enzymes that break down a long protein into smaller chains called peptides (a peptide is simply a short amino acid chain).
Amylases remove starch-based soils and stains, e.g. sauces, ice-creams, gravy. Amylases break down starch chains into smaller sugar molecules.
Lipases are effective in removing oil / greasy body and food stains
Cellulases provide general cleaning benefits, especially on dust and mud, and also work on garments made from cellulosic fibers, minimizing pilling to restore color and softness.
What makes Enzyme Wizard different?
Our products are manufactured using all four (4) different types of enzymes.
The “magic” is derived from the fact that when we manufacture we are able to utilize all four enzymes in one formulation, under normal conditions they would attack and destroy each other, with one dominant one remaining intact.
The technology behind our formulation is in it’s ability to allow each one of the enzymes to co-exist together without destroying each other.
Our proprietary formulation utilizes a Stabilization process, to achieve this.
With this Technology we are able to eliminate the entire stain or odour with one application.

Enzyme Wizard and the Environment
Our Enzymes are plant based sterols and all natural and are effective at accomplishing the specific job targeted. Enzymes are environmentally friendly and in certain cases, actually help the task of cleaning the waste and toxic by – products of manufacturing and everyday life. In contrast, chemicals are not limited to the task intended and often cause harm to the environment.
Other technology that use live culture based products are limiting and can upset the natural bacteria out there in the environment.
Design For The Environment
In August of 2011, Enzyme Wizard Pty.Ltd entered into a Partnership Agreement with the U.S. EPA Design for Environment program. Many of our products meet the stringent criteria for DFE approval. Enzyme Wizard is committed to providing our customers with effective products that are environmentally responsible as well. We are continually looking for ways to limit our environmental impact through our enzyme based cleaners.
The following products are approved as DFE Products.
- All Purpose Cleaner
- Mould and Mildew Cleaner
- Grease and Waste Digester
- Carpet Spot Remover
- No Rinse Floor Cleaner
- Industrial Cleaner
What Does the DfE Label Mean?
EPA allows safer products to carry the Design for the Environment (DfE) label. This mark enables consumers to quickly identify and choose products that can help protect the environment and are safer for families.
When you see the DfE logo on a product it means that the DfE scientific review team has screened each ingredient for potential human health and environmental effects and that—based on currently available information, EPA predictive models, and expert judgment—the product contains only those ingredients that pose the least concern among chemicals in their class.
Product manufacturers who become DfE partners, earn the right to display the DfE logo on recognized products, have invested heavily in research, development and reformulation to ensure that their ingredients and finished product line up on the green end of the health and environmental spectrum while maintaining or improving product performance
The Design for the Environment Safer Product Labeling Program advances EPA's mission to protect human health and the environment. The program uses EPA's chemical expertise and resources to carefully evaluate products and to label only those that have met the program's highly protective standards. By allowing use of the logo on products, EPA empowers consumers and commercial purchasers to select safer chemical products that do not sacrifice quality or performance —and are safer for people and the planet. Design for the Environment labels a variety of chemical-based products, like all-purpose cleaners, laundry detergents, and carpet and floor care products. Look for the Design for the Environment logo when you shop or procure products and join this national effort to protect human and environmental health.
