SILVER ANTIBACTERIAL MICROFIBRE CLOTHS
ANTI-BACTERIAL MICROFIBRE CLOTHS are designed to remove 99.9% of germs from most non-porous surfaces. The cloths then sanitize themselves using the silver antibacterial properties. They can be laundered at up to 95 degrees Celsius and work with and without the use of chemicals.
Techno-Clean Microfibre contains silver that inhibits bacteria growth, so not only will your surfaces be clean but your cloths will sanitize themselves.
Our edging is reinforced helping to keep the shape of the cloth so that it will fold easily even after 500 washes. Here is an example of a competitor’s cloth after 300 washes (left) versus Technoclean (right).

DO I NEED TO USE CLEANING CHEMICALS?
There is nothing wrong with using cleaning chemicals as long as they are only making your cleaning easier, safer, faster or cleaner. The main problems with using chemicals is that most cleaners use too much solution and end up leaving surfaces too wet. When a surface is left too moist with cleaning solution then whatever was in the cleaning solution will remain on the surface after it has dried and this could easily include dirt and germs from previously cleaned surfaces.
As cleaning solution becomes used it picks up greases, dirt, bugs, minerals and when added to the chemicals in the solution a mixture of this is left on every surface left wet. Once evaporation occurs and the surface becomes dry you are left with a film of residuals from your cleaning solution and this can create slippery, dirty, infectious surfaces that attract future dirt, reflect light poorly and basically look dirty.
This effect is easy to see on external glass that has been cleaned with a spray bottle and cloth in direct sunlight. To reduce this effect we need to clean our surfaces with less chemicals, cleaner water, clean cloths (as opposed to previously used ones) and remove more of the residuals by using a cloth that leaves the surfaces drier faster.
If you take the time to watch a professional window cleaner you will notice they use a squeegee with a soft sharp rubber that allows them to remove any residuals while still in moist solution, and it is this instant removal and drying process that allows glass to reflect light so well due to absence of residuals.
In many cases high quality microfibre used with the right amount of moisture will clean as well as or even better than being used with chemicals, however you will need to check with your regulatory bodies as to what is considered the right procedure for your facility.
WHAT'S WRONG WITH USING DISINFECTANTS?
Disinfectants when used correctly will kill germs and bugs, however as we have used so many disinfectants over the years, and sometimes they have not been used correctly, this has led to some of the bugs developing resistance and mutating into Super Bugs. This is why most of our Healthcare facilities use a neutral cleaner for cleaning general surfaces and rely on the removal of bugs, as opposed to the chemical killing of them as removal does not build the bugs resistance. Microfibre's ability to remove bugs and germs without the use of disinfectants is why many Healthcare facilities are using it with either neutral cleaner or pure water. There is no question as to Microfibre's ability to remove germs from a surface, the question is "Where do the germs go?" and this is why a fresh cloth should always be used for the next area to be cleaned.
WHY DO WE NEED ANTIBACTERIAL MICROFIBRE CLOTHS?
General microfibre used with the right amount of moisture will remove most of the dirt and germs from surfaces however, if they are not laundered, either with sanitizing chemical or at the correct temperature the bugs will continue to reproduce causing your cleaning cloth to become a breeding ground. The reason this is so important is that the Microfibre becomes loaded with bugs as it cleans the surfaces by removing bugs as opposed to simply using sanitizing chemicals.
Techno-Clean Microfibre contains silver that inhibits bacterial growth, so not only will your surfaces be clean, but your cloths will sanitize themselves. Still a fresh cloth should be used to clean the next area, but for facilities that don't launder their cloths every day, NON-ANTI-BACTERIAL Microfibre can become a breeding ground if it does not have anti-bacterial properties.
Below is a table showing the results of independent laboratory tests showing how long it takes to kill various common bugs from within our cloths.
